America’s Best Customer Service 2023
Great customer service is a big part of why we enjoy shopping at certain places more than others. Being respectful, cheerful, and helpful is just as important as finding the right product at the right price. This year, Newsweek Newsweek partnered once again with the respected global data research company Statista to identify the stores that consistently provide the best customer service. Whether it’s an easy-to-use website, a hassle-free return policy, or simply a friendly voice on the other end of the line, these companies put the customer first.
In this year’s ranking, 656 individual brands received a total of 676 awards (one brand may be recognized in more than one category). These brands span 166 categories in total—from grocery stores and brick-and-mortar retailers to insurance services, banking services, restaurants, movie theaters, and more. Publix, Southwest Airlines, and Chick-fil-A are among the notable brands that have been recognized in every edition since the list first launched in 2019. This year, we saw that insurance brands were among those with the highest overall customer service scores.
